Edwin Lowell Sellers went home to see Jesus on the evening of February 9, 2015, surrounded by the people he loved most in life, his wife, Debbie, his daughter, Samantha, and his son, Seth. Ed Sellers was born on May 4, 1949, in Daviess County, to James Lowell Sellers and Emma Josephine Bush. His only sibling, a brother, is James M. Sellers. Ed attended Elnora High School graduating with the class of 1967. He married Debbra Ann Devine on June 21, 1970. They began their life together with Ed farming. During this time they welcomed their daughter into the world, Samantha Jo Sellers, born Nov. 1, 1978. On Dec. 22, 1981, they welcomed their son, Seth Edwin Sellers. Shortly after the birth of their children, Ed went back to college. He first attended Vincennes University obtaining his AS degree in social work, followed by the University of Southern Indiana, where he obtained his BS degree. He then obtained his MS degree in social work from the University of Louisville. He later specialized in addictions counseling. He worked for the Samaritan Center from January 1999 until March 2005. He then was employed by the Hamilton Center from April 2005 until April 2007. He then worked from May 2007 until February 2008 for the Greene County Court System. In March of 2008, he joined his wife, Debbie, in her day spa, doing private counseling. In 2014, he began doing counseling with Compass Point in Montgomery, as a private contractor. He served in the U.S. Army Reserve system from September 1967 until August 1975. He has served on various boards in the community, such as the Farm Bureau board of directors. He became a member of the Community of Christ Church in September 1975. He holds the office of elder in the Community of Christ Church with a calling to be an evangelist and has served as pastor to the local congregation. He was a man who loved his God with his heart, mind and soul. He is preceeded in death by his mother and father. He is survived by his wife, Debbra Sellers; daughter, Samantha Jo Richardson of Indianapolis and her husband, Marland Richardson; son, Seth Edwin Sellers of Washington; and his brother, James M. Sellers of Smyrna, TN. Two beautiful grandchildren also survive, Braxton Sellers and Sophyia Richardson.
