Our theme this morning was “Stand for Truth” and we had some fun exploring it together. We began our worship with some of the kids’ favorite songs (really they are some of the grown-ups’ favorites also) and then shared in our own version of “Two truths and a lie”. Our four contestants tried to stump us as to which of their statements was a lie. In the process, we found out that Kaitlin B. likes heavy metal music, Shawn S. scored the winning basket in his high school’s section game, Bob B. was a cheerleader (in college) and Colleen G. once had pink hair! What does all of this have to do with standing for truth? Maybe nothing, but it was a fun lead-in to our consideration of the Enduring Principles. These are an important part of Community of Christ “truths”.
