We made a couple changes to our Facebook page… and added a few more!
First you’ll notice that if you previously “liked” Facebook.com/cofchristindy… it’s now the Mission Center’s Facebook page (facebook.com/cofchrist.KYIN/)

Frequently Asked Questions…
So far there really haven’t been many questions; but I wanted to get ahead of the game a little bit and hopefully answer some lingering questions…
First, Why? Why the change, why all the locations under one blanket?
A couple of reasons; namely many of our locations have no social media presence at all. As we continue to share in spreading the good news to others we need to use relevant messaging tools. We need to be able to reach people where ever they are.
Second, uniformity – it’s not to say that we want every page to look identical, but we want the information to be updated in a timely fashion. Additionally, if we change Pastors or close locations, or need to add others to edit, update, or modify the social media pages; we can now do that with greater ease.
My congregation already has a Facebook page / group …
Over the coming days we’ll be working with your congregation to merge these pages into the new mission center structure. Don’t worry though, you’ll still be able to post, edit, and modify your page as you were prior.
Facebook groups can continue as expected – a page allows a completely type of engagement with our audience.
How do we appoint someone to run our Facebook page / do we need to appoint someone to do that?
It’s not required that you keep up your Facebook page. If you just want a static page that is updated with Mission Center information, then there is no action required by you. However, if you want to retain control over your page, email me, (Mikal Farley) at firstname.lastname@example.org with the individual’s name(s) and email address and I’ll send an invite out to those individuals you wish to run your page.
Just keep in mind the Mission Center will review the content to make sure it does not contradict the beliefs of the Community of Christ.
