Larry Bunting brought the morning message sharing from John 21:1-19.  Jesus again appeared to some of the disciples as they were fishing.  After the resurrection, they had gone back to their vocations.  Just like the disciples, we all encounter life in different ways.  We each have different opportunities to share Jesus and to listen and respond to God’s Spirit.  As we share in the sacrament of the Lord’s Supper, Larry reminded us to remember and renew our covenant to follow Jesus.  He asked us to consider what we can do in a new way to impact people’s lives as we share the Good News!  Listen for the new seeds that… Read More

James Stytle brought the message this morning, walking the congregation through the lectionary scripture from John.  Verse 19 picks up right after Mary has seen the resurrected Jesus and gone to tell the disciples.  James did a wonderful job of helping us understand the setting, background and emotions that the disciples must have been feeling as they gathered in a locked room.  All of the remaining disciples were there except for Thomas.  Jesus reveals himself to them and gives them an assignment by sending them out to share the Good News.  We are also sent to share that same Good News nearly 2000 years later.  To whom is God sending… Read More

During the fifth Sunday of the month we participate in “messy church”.  The congregation began worship by sharing joys and concerns.  After continuing with Lenten preparation, the congregation moved to tables at the back of the sanctuary.  All enjoyed the games and fellowship – – what a fun way to share together!

[3/24/2019] Our kids have worked hard over the last several months on a dramatic reading/interpretation about Daniel and the Lion’s Den.  We were fortunate today to have them share it in the service.  It was a great “behind the scenes” look at what might have happened.  Fantastic job! Bob Rugg brought the morning message on our theme of “Repent!”  He shared that the word “repent” wasn’t in the original scriptures, but became part of the text in the late 1300’s during the reformation.  The original interpretation meant “change”.
