[UPDATED] Happy Mother’s Day to all the ladies out there who show God’s love to those around them through their “mothering” skills, whether by birth or by affection.  We shared in worship today considering the theme “Proclaim Jesus Christ”.  Bob B. shared the message using a can of SPAM as a prop to make the congregation consider how we live out the Worth of All Persons in our daily lives.  Before Jesus ascended, he blessed the disciples and challenged them to continue blessing others. Do You Love Me?

[Sunday, April 10, 2016] Today we shared in the worship service considering the theme “Do You Love Me?”  Our speaker was Mike D. from Louisville.  Prior to Mike’s message Jami shared in a children’s moment using the story of Peter after Jesus was resurrected where Jesus was standing on the shore and the ‘guys’ were out fishing.  They were not catching any fish until ‘the guy on the shore’ suggested they throw their net off the other side of the boat.  It was then Peter realized Jesus was ‘Jesus’.  After hauling in their nets, all the disciples and Jesus shared in a meal.  Following the meal was when Jesus asked… Read More

Practice Extravagant Generosity

This theme was based upon John 12:1-8.  We watched a video from world church about generosity called “Bring Your Perfume (see below)” and then considered the following questions: –      What is your “perfume”?  Watch the video on the world church website to see what that means… –      When have you witnessed “extravagant generosity”? –      How much of your capacity for generous giving are you actually using right now (time, talent, treasure)?
