As we gathered today in community and worship, we thought we might be a small group due to the holiday weekend. We were pleasantly surprised to have a wonderful gathering of folks to share in the Lord’s Supper.
Our theme today was “Come to the Table”. The communion message was brought by Bob Rugg, who asked the question ‘What is the value of communion?” Bob explained that communion is personal and special to each one of us and it helps to build our faith.

Another special part of the worship service was confirming a new member, Tracy H., to Community of Christ. Welcome to the family, Tracy!
About 16 folks shared together in lunch and fellowship following the service.
The Lord’s Supper (Communion)
Community of Christ congregations worldwide regularly celebrate the Lord’s Supper (also called Communion or Eucharist) as an opportunity to reflect on the life, teachings, death, and resurrection of Jesus. It is also a chance to recommit ourselves to following him.
All who believe in Jesus, whether they are members of Community of Christ or not, are welcome to share in communion. ‘
Loving God – Thank You for the invitation to come to Your table. Each month, we are given the opportunity to share in communion, remembering the sacrifice of Your Son, for each of us and remembering our baptismal commitment. We are grateful for Your forgiveness and the chance to start over. We recognize that participating in the Lord’s Supper is symbolic and that we can come to You in humble prayer at any time, in any place. Your grace is offered to us freely and Your love for us is everlasting. For the blessing of this priceless gift, we praise and thank You. In the name of Your Son, Jesus, we pray. Amen.
