[3/24/2019] Our kids have worked hard over the last several months on a dramatic reading/interpretation about Daniel and the Lion’s Den.  We were fortunate today to have them share it in the service.  It was a great “behind the scenes” look at what might have happened.  Fantastic job!

Bob Rugg brought the morning message on our theme of “Repent!”  He shared that the word “repent” wasn’t in the original scriptures, but became part of the text in the late 1300’s during the reformation.  The original interpretation meant “change”.

Bob reminded us that Jesus did not spread a message of repentance, but rather one of change.  We are to transform by having a change of heart, change of consciousness, change of attitude.  If we allow God to work in us, that transformation will happen over time.

From Romans 12:2 (The Message):

Don’t become so well-adjusted to your culture that you fit into it without even thinking. Instead, fix your attention on God. You’ll be changed from the inside out. Readily recognize what he wants from you, and quickly respond to it. Unlike the culture around you, always dragging you down to its level of immaturity, God brings the best out of you, develops well-formed maturity in you.

How will you allow God to change you?
